How to Change a PS3 Server

Your PlayStation 3 can only be connected to one wireless media server at a time. The media server exists on the wireless network that exists in your home. If you want to change the media server that your PlayStation 3 is connected to, you can do so from the console's main menu.

      Turn on your PlayStation 3.

      Select the icon from the main menu that represents the type of media server to which you are trying to connect. For example, if your media server contains video files, select "Video." For a media server with audio or picture files, select "Music" or "Photo," respectively.

      Highlight the icon for the selected media server. Press "X." The PlayStation 3 will disconnect from the existing media server that it is utilizing and will instead connect to the one you have selected.
