How to Progress in Superstar Madden 11

"Madden NFL" has become the powerhouse franchise in American football video games. It's 22nd edition, "Madden NFL 11," was released in August 2010 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Nintendo DS and Xbox 360. As with previous versions, the game includes "Superstar Mode," where gamers create a new player and follow him through an entire career. The game allows for customized appearance and simulates being drafted the NFL. However, unlike previous versions of the game, "Madden NFL 11" doesn't allow the player to progress through practice.

  Begin playing the season in "Superstar Mode."

  Improve your character's stats over the course of the season by selecting plays which feature his position. For instance, if the player is a quarterback, call more pass plays than runs.

  Perform well throughout the season to improve the player's abilities. For example, a quarterback with a 1,500 yard season will not progress, whereas a passer with 3,500 yards may see progress.
- 4
  Complete the season. Unlike other "Madden" games, "Superstar Mode" only offers progress and the end of the season, with the reward dependent on the player's cumulative stats.
