How to Set Up Your PS3 for NetZero High Speed Dial Up

Designed for watching movies, surfing the Internet and playing games, the PlayStation 3 provides entertainment for all age groups and audiences. Using the ethernet port on the PS3, users can connect their high-speed, dial-up Internet connection from NetZero to play online games and access the PlayStation Network Store. Users can even use a router to share a home network connection between their computer and PS3.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the ethernet cable into both the PS3 and the router/modem. A router makes it possible to connect more than one Internet-capable device to the Web, while a modem connects a single Internet-capable device to the Internet.

    • 2

Scroll to the left on the PS3 home menu. Select "Settings" (Toolbox Icon). From the drop-down menu, scroll down and select "Network Settings."

    • 3

Select "Internet Connection" from the network settings menu. When prompted, select "Yes" to disconnect your PS3 from the Internet. Select the "Easy" configuration setting. The PS3 will automatically retrieve the information from your NetZero account settings and configure the settings for you.

    • 4

Select "Yes" to save your settings. When prompted, select "Yes Test my Internet Connection." The window will show a confirmation that you are connected to the Internet.
