How to Connect a 120GB PlayStation 3 to an HDMI TV

The PlayStation 3 was released in 2006. Unlike other video game systems released around the same time, all PS3 systems feature an HDMI port. If you have a television with an HDMI port, you can connect your PS3 to it in the same manner as any other HDMI compatible device. An HDMI cable is required, as one does not come with the system.

      Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI slot on the back of your PlayStation 3.

      Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into one of your television's HDMI slots. On most televisions, these slots are located on the back of the television.

      Set your television to the HDMI output that the PlayStation 3 is plugged into. Consult your television's manual if you are unsure how to change the output.

      Turn on your PlayStation 3. The image on screen should be of the PlayStation 3 boot screen.
