How to Set Up a PS3 Remote

The PlayStation 3 remote control is a great way to control your system if you're watching DVDs or Blu-rays and don't want to use the Dual Shock 3 controller. It is shaped like a regular remote control with all the expected buttons (Play, Pause, Stop, etc.), but it is designed specifically to work with your PlayStation 3.

      Turn over your PlayStation 3 remote control. Remove the battery cover and insert the two AA batteries that came with the device into this compartment. Replace the battery cover and turn the remote back over.

      Press the "Power" button on your PlayStation 3 to turn the console on.

      Press the "PS" button in the direct center of your PlayStation remote one time. This will pair your remote to your console. You can now use it like a regular remote control.
