How to Play Call of Duty World at War Over LAN With the Same Key

Call of Duty: World at War is one of the last Word War II shooter games the Call of Duty franchise came out with before the hugely popular "Modern Warfare" editions debuted. When paying World at War, you are able to participate in large-scale battles with friends online. You do need an Internet connection, such as LAN (or wired connection). If there are two different PlayStation 3s (or Xbox 360s) in the home you can use both on the same LAN and use the same key on the gaming systems in order to access the online content.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug an Ethernet cable into one of the "Out" pots on the high-speed modem. Connect the other end into the "WAN" port on your video game system. Repeat the process with the second video game platform you have.

    • 2

Bring up the "Internet Options" on your video game platform, then choose a "LAN" connection. The system will scan for a wired connection.

    • 3

Type in the key number (this is the password you use to gain access to the Internet on your computer) and select "OK." This connects your platform to the Internet over the LAN connection. Perform the same selection option with the second video game system.

    • 4

Insert the Call of Duty: War at War video game into the gaming system, then choose "Multiplayer" when the game loads. Once online you can select the type of game you want to play and if you want it public or private. Momentarily the online game loads with you and all your friends.
