How to Use a Wireless PS3 Controller on a PC

PC gamers have traditionally preferred the mouse and keyboard or joystick for games. With more and more console games being ported to the PC, some gamers are looking to use a video game controller, since certain types of games play better with this type of controller. If you have a PS3 and are looking for a way to use the controller on the PC, you can download and install a driver that will allow you to use it as if it were a mouse.

  Download the driver from the link in the References section and save it onto your computer's desktop.

  Unpack the file ps3sixaxis_en.exe from the .rar file using a .rar expander and save it onto your desktop. See the Resources section for a free option.

  Plug your PS3 controller into the computer using the USB data cable.

  Run the file ps3sixaxis_en.exe on the computer by double clicking on the file. Press the "Connect" button on the controller if the computer doesn't detect it.
