How to Access Real Player from a PS3

RealMedia&'s RealPlayer software is one of many types of computer programs with the ability to stream media over a wireless or wired Internet network. If your RealPlayer is setup to stream music and videos from its internal library, you can automatically access and play that content on your Sony PlayStation 3. All you need to do is select the appropriate options from the PlayStation 3&'s main menu.

  Connect your Sony PlayStation 3 to the same network as the computer running RealPlayer. In order to stream content from one device to another, they must both be on the same wireless network. Select the "Network" icon from your PlayStation 3&'s main menu to check its connection.

  Select the "Music" icon from the PlayStation 3&'s main menu. You will now see a list of all of the songs and audio clips being streamed by RealPlayer beneath this "Music" icon. To play a song, simply highlight it with your PlayStation 3 controller and select the "X" button.

  Select the "Video" icon from the PlayStation 3&'s main menu. You will now see a list of all of the videos being streamed by RealPlayer beneath this "Video" icon. To play a video, simply highlight it with your PlayStation 3 controller and select the "X" button.
