How to Sync a PS3 Keypad

The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) has a web browser and functional network adapter. You can use your controller to access the PS3 on-screen keyboard, but it's not as convenient as a standard keypad or keyboard. Sony provides a wireless keypad for the PS3. The device attaches to a controller, making it easy for you to type. Once you sync your PS3 keypad, it will remain in sync indefinitely.

  Attach the wireless keypad to the wireless controller. Open the clamp on the keypad's bottom and then slide the keypad over the controller. Close the clamp to secure it.

  Turn on your PS3 and your wireless keypad. Slide the power switch on the right side of the keypad to the "Up" position.

  Attach the keypad to the PS3 front port, using the USB cable. After the keypad is connected for a few seconds, it will be synced.

  Unplug the USB cable from the PS3 port and the keypad.
