How to Sync a PS3 Controller With No USB Port

Being able to use your Sony Playstation3 controller on your Windows PC has long been the dream of many PC users and Playstation3 owners alike. You could use the PS3 controller as a USB only controller for a long time, but recently, a few independent developers have created a program to effectively use the PS3 controller wirelessly with the computer's Bluetooth adapter.

  Download the MotionInJoy program. MotionInJoy will allow your PC̵7;s Bluetooth adapter to see the PS3 controller, allowing you to use it as a video game controller on your computer.

  Restart your computer and continue to press the ̶0;F8̶1; button as soon as the BIOS screen appears. You will know it is the BIOS screen when you see the name of your computer̵7;s manufacturer. You will see the Advanced Boot Options screen. Use your keyboard arrow keys to go down to the ̶0;Disable Driver Signature Enforcement̶1; option and press the ̶0;Enter̶1; button.

  Plug your PS3 controller into the PC and allow Windows to install the necessary drivers. This is the only time you need to plug your PS3 controller into your PC. Press the ̶0;Start̶1; button and click the ̶0;MotioInJoy̶1; folder. Right-click ̶0;Install USB Driver̶1; and click ̶0;Run as Administrator.̶1; Your Controller will be synced to the USB. Go back to the MotionInJoy folder and ̶0;Right-click ̶0;Install Bluetooth Driver̶1; and click ̶0;Run as Administrator.̶1;

  Unplug your PS3 controller from the computer and press the ̶0;PS̶1; button on your PS3 controller to turn it on. Your computer̵7;s Bluetooth adapter will automatically sync it to your computer. You can now use it as a game controller.
