How to Get the Good Ending in Silent Hill

There are several options available during the course of the Playstation survival horror game Silent Hill that will give you different endings to the storyline. The "Good" ending can be achieved by leaving the main quest momentarily to take care of a side storyline, and then choosing to defeat a specific boss instead of sparing her life.

     Play through the game until you reach the Lakeside Resort area.

     Go inside the building marked as "Annie's Bar" on your map and protect the man named Kaufman from the monstrous creatures inside.

     Leave the bar and go into Norman's Hotel. Take the key found inside the room marked as "Room Three."

   • 4

     Find the motorcycle outside the hotel and use the key to open its gas tank.

   • 5

     Continue through the game until you have to fight the woman named Cybil. Use your handgun to kill her, and do not use the "Unknown Liquid" item on her if you found it earlier in the game. When you reach the end of the game, you will then receive the "Good" ending.
