How to Get Gil in FFX

In the "Final Fantasy" series, many of the games, including "Final Fantasy X" ("FFX"), use a currency called gil to purchase items. Your characters need potions and phoenix downs to restore health, which cost gil, as do new items. Making gil is easy, because most monsters will drop a small amount of currency, so traveling the countryside and engaging in random battles can earn you a bunch of in-game money.

Instructions

  Begin the game and move your characters into the main world map. If you are in a town or city, leave the town or city and explore the world. If you are beginning a new game, follow the on-screen prompts and play the early storyline until your character has access to the world map.

  Walk around the world map until you enter a battle.

  Attack the monsters using the attack or magic comments. Continue attacking until the enemy monster is defeated. Repeat for all other monsters on screen. When finished, the battle screen will inform you of the items, experience and money your party has earned.

  Repeat until you have earned enough money to purchase the weapons or items you need to continue the game. While you are doing this, you will also earn experience points to improve your characters.
