How to Get the Monmon DRI Agent Quest in Digimon World 3

There are two ways to get Monmon to join your party in "Digimon World 3," played on the PlayStation (or PSOne) console. The first, and simplest, is to pick "Pack B: Powerful Pack" when you first start the game and are prompted to pick your Digimon. If you chose any other pack, you can still get Monmon to join your party by taking on a side quest offered by DRI Agent Yang, who you meet while exploring the Mobius Desert.

Instructions

  Go to the Mobius Desert. This is the area just after the S Noise Desert and where you have to find the Mirage Tower. From the entrance to the area, leave through the north exit.

  Exit the new screen using the path to the west. From here, go north again. Repeat this pattern one more time to get to an area with some cacti and DRI Agent Yang. Speak with him to get a side quest.

  Make changes to your party as necessary to make their combined level any number between 60 and 90 -- DRI Agent Yang won't give you the quest otherwise. If the combined level is too high, remove a Digimon or two from your party. If it is too low, train and battle until the level is high enough.

  Follow DRI Agent Yang's instructions for completing his side quest. He wants you to defeat Armormon, who you can find on Duelist Island via the Asuka Server. Armormon is weak against lightning-based attacks, so focus on using any Digimon that have this affinity.

  Go back to DRI Agent Yang at the Mobius Desert once you have defeated Armormon. Speak with him and he will allow Monmon to join your party. Find Dr. Kadomatsu at the Digimon Lab in Asuka City, or find Piximon at Seiryu City. Speak with either of them as you normally would to make changes in your Digimon party and they will let you pick up Monmon.
