How to Make a PlayStation One Car Adapter

The PlayStation One is the first gaming console from Sony Computer Entertainment. It was the predecessor to Sony's popular PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 gaming consoles. If you have a PlayStation One that you want to be able to play in your car, you can make your own rudimentary car adapter using the power cable that came with the system and a device that plugs into your car's power adapter, called a power inverter.

  Connect your PlayStation One's power cable into the power cable input on the back of the console.

  Plug the other end of the PlayStation One's power cable into the power cable input on a standard car power inverter.

  Connect the car power inverter to the power adapter/cigarette lighter in your car.
- 4
  Turn on your car. Press the "Power" button on the top of the PlayStation One to turn on the console. You now have a makeshift car adapter for your PlayStation One.
