How to Turn on the WLAN Switch on a Sony PSP

The Sony PlayStation Portable (most commonly known as the "Sony PSP") allows video gamers to compete against other players around the world. Dozens of PSP games support online play and can be enjoyed wherever a wireless broadband Internet connection is available. In order to play these online games, gamers need to turn on the PSP&'s wireless local area network switch (commonly referred to as the "WLAN switch").

     Turn on the Sony PSP.

     Slide the WLAN switch on the PSP up. The WLAN switch is located on the left side of the PSP and is marked by a small radio icon.

     Wait two seconds and release the WLAN switch. On some versions of the Sony PSP, you can release the switch instantly. If WLAN was successfully turned on, an orange light to the right of the WLAN switch will immediately begin to glow.
