The PSP by default cannot utilize animated GIF images as it does other artwork for backgrounds or icons. You can, however, still view or display an animated GIF on your PSP by using the built-in web browser.

Select "Internet Browser" under the "Network" section of the PSP's menu.

Access the URL bar and type in the name of your GIF file.

Press enter. The image should display in the browser.
