How to Put Homebrew Games on My PSP

Custom firmware opens a whole new world for Sony PlayStation Portable owners. It allows you to play games created by fellow PSP owners. These games are called homebrew games, and are completely free and legal to play on your PSP. Custom firmware makes this all possible so make sure you install custom firmware on your PSP before you go about playing homebrew games.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PSP by sliding the power button up until the PSP turns on. Wait as your PSP boots and connect it to your computer with its supplied USB cable.

    • 2

Wait until your computer recognizes your PSP. A new window will pop up, allowing you access to the PSP's memory stick. You will see many files and folders inside the PSP memory stick, including a few game folders. Open the "PSP" folder found within the memory stick. There is a "GAME" folder inside of that where the homebrew games go.

Copy your homebrew games into the "GAME" folder and wait as they transfer. Depending on the size of the game, this may take a few minutes. Once the transfer is complete, press the O button on your PSP to eject the PSP from your computer and disconnect it.
