How to Use PSP Media Manager

Recently Sony changed the name of its PSP Media Manager to Sony Media Go. Sony Media Go works much like Apple's iTunes program in that it allows you to manage all your downloads and sync them with your portable Sony devices. Compared to such programs as iTunes, it does a nice job of organizing and handling the various video and audio file formats you might own.

Things You'll Need

USB cable
1 GB or larger memory stick
Computer running Windows XP or Vista
Sony Media Go (http://cagcdn.sonycreativesoftware.com/mediago/mediago_setup.exe)

Instructions

  Download Sony Media Go from the link provided. Double-click the icon, and select "Standard" installation. After the program installs, direct it to where you have your media files stored. After showing the program where to find your media, select "PSP" as the device you use with the program. Click "Finish."

  Insert your memory stick into your PSP, plug it into your computer by using the USB cable, and Media Go will recognize the device. In Media Go, visit the PlayStation Store by clicking the link on the left side of the program, and sign into your PlayStation account. If you do not have an account, set one up for free at PlayStation.com. Once you have signed in, navigate through the store and download movies, games and much more directly to your PSP.

  To access your downloaded content on your PSP, turn the device on and search the PSP's home menu. If you downloaded a game, look in the "Game" section of the menu. This process is the same for movies, TV shows and any other files you may download.
