Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take the face plate off by removing all the tiny screws holding it in place. Check each side of the PSP player so you can lift it off easily. There shouldn't be any tension at all. If there is, then you've missed a screw.
Detach the face plate plate from your PSP. This will give you instant access to the areas where you fix the left and right shoulder buttons for your PSP. Next, you will take off each button. They can easily be removed, but don't force them out or they will crack.
Find the metal pieces hiding under each shoulder button. You will be able to slide them off with a small pull or push. Once they've been removed, turn them upside down and set them aside. The inside will be facing up on your table.
Grab a dry cotton swab and wipe off the sensor underneath the metal piece. When you work on left and right shoulder buttons, it's important to make sure your cotton swab is dry and clean. Scratching the sensors could damage your PSP. When you're finished, grab the metal pieces and wipe the sensors you see on the inside.
Place the metal pieces back in each shoulder button slot and turn on your PSP. Everything will be working at this point, which means the only thing left to do is reassemble your PSP.
