How to Listen to Music on the Internet on the PSP

The PSP is an amazing piece of technology. Not only can you use it to play video games, store pictures and play movies, you can also use it to go on the Internet and listen to music. It's the perfect way to listen to all of the music you want without taking up space on your PSP's memory stick. You can have millions of songs at your disposal and listen to them with a few clicks of a button. You won't have to worry about anything besides a reliable Wi-Fi connection.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the WLAN switch on the left side of your PSP so you can connect the device to a Wi-Fi network.

    • 2

Go to "Settings" on the main menu. Scroll to "Network Settings." Click on it.

    • 3

Click on "Infrastructure Mode." Create a new connection for your PSP and name it.

    • 4

Go to the "WLAN Setting" menu in "Network Settings." Click "Scan." Scan for available Wi-Fi networks in the area. Choose the one with the strongest signal. If it is not an open network and you don't have the password, you won't be able to use it.

    • 5

Go to "Address Setting." Click "Easy."

    • 6

Press "X" to save your settings.

    • 7

Go to "Internet Browser" under the main menu. Click on it. Your PSP will load your browser and be connected to the Internet.

    • 8

Go to Grooveshark. (See Resources.) This site has a huge selection of music from all over the world.

    • 9

Type in a song or artist. Click "Search."

    • 10

Search the list of songs by the artist. You can also divide the songs into albums by clicking "Albums" on the left-hand side.

    • 11

Click on the song you want to listen to. A new window will open on the right-hand side of the web page.

    • 12

Click "Play Song" in the new window. The song will play. If you want to listen to it again, click "Repeat." If you want GrooveShark to pick music for you, click "Auto Play." If you choose "Auto Play," music will continue to play until you stop it.
