How to Put a Theme on GEN-D3

Graphical themes on the PSP give video game enthusiasts and casual gamers all a chance to make their machines feel unique. Sony has released a firmware update that opens the door for PSP owners to install custom themes onto their devices. GEN-D3 is a custom firmware that is based off of Sony's firmware. It includes all of the features that Sony's firmware does, including custom themes.

      Insert the PSP's memory card into your computer's card reader. If you do not have a card reader, connect the mini USB cable into the top of the PSP and connect the other end into your computer's USB port.

      Right click the PTF or CTF theme file you want to install on the PSP with the GEN-D3 firmware. Click the "Copy" option from the context menu that comes up.

      Double click the "PSP" drive that appears on the desktop to view the folders on the PSP memory card. Open the "PSP" folder.

      Right-click the "Theme" folder and click "Paste" from the context menu that comes up. This installs the PSP theme onto the machine.

      Pull out the PSP memory card and insert it into the PSP. If connected through the mini USB, pull the USB cable out of the PSP.

      Select the "Theme" menu underneath the "Settings" heading on the PSP menu. Select the theme you installed from the list of themes that comes up.

      Select the "Apply" option when it comes up. The PSP switches to the new graphical theme that you installed.
