Instructions
Turn your Sony PSP on. If your system automatically loads into a game, press the "Home" button on the handheld system and quit the game.
Navigate to the settings section on the PSP home screen. Scroll down until you reach "Network Settings." Press "X." Choose "Infrastructure Mode." Press "X" to confirm. Scroll through the list of network connections and choose "New Connection." If this is the first time that you have set up a network connection on your PSP, the New Connection option is the only one available. Press "X."
Select "Scan" and use the directional pad to press "Right." Choose the SSID, or network name, of the network you are attempting to connect to. The networks are listed in order of signal strength. Press "X" to continue. Press "Right." Select the wireless security protocol used by the wireless network. Press "Right." Press "X" and enter the password used for your wireless network, if one is present.
Press "Right" twice and press "X" to enter a connection name. This is an identifying name only; it does not need to match your SSID. Press "Right" twice. Press "X" so all changes are saved, and press "X" again to test your wireless connection.
