How to Use the Roland TD-9S With Rock Band 2

"Rock Band 2" is a video game where you play multiple instruments as a member of a rock band. The Rolad TD-9S is an electronic drum set that does not come standard with the "Rock Band 2" game, but you can use it to play the drum sections of "Rock Band 2." Both the drum set and the game have a "MIDI" port that will allow you to connect the game to your drum set.

Instructions

  Connect the MIDI cable to the "Out" port on the electronic interface of your Roland TD-9S electronic drum set.

  Connect the other end of the cable to the "In" port located on the drum set that comes with "Rock Band 2."

  Press "Function," then "Midi" on the Roland TD-9S.

  Set the Drums on the Roland TD-9S to the following settings: Red, 38; Yellow, 46; Blue, 48; Green, 45; and Kick Pedal, 36. This will match the inputs from your drums to those of the "Rock Band 2" video game.

  Set the threshold for your cymbals to 16. This will increase the accuracy of your cymbal strikes.
