How to Get a Pup on Nintendogs

Launched in 2005, "Nintendogs" was the first in a hugely successful series of games available on Nintendo DS. In the game, you are charged with looking after your own virtual puppy by playing with him, taking him for walkies and even throwing a frisbee for the pup. Before you can get started though, it is essential to choose the pup that you want to raise.

     Select the "Kennel" option with your stylus upon starting your new game.

     Highlight "Buy" and select the breed you wish to buy. Browse the available pups and choose the one you want to own.

     Press on the red arrow to move back to the breed selection screen if you are not happy with the options you are presented with.
