How to Hook Multiple Game Systems to a Plasma TV With U-verse?

Most modern gaming consoles use an Ethernet port to download game content, stream movies and access media stored on your computer. U-verse is a widespread Internet service, utilizing the existing phone lines in your home to deliver broadband. Together, multiple consoles can access the web via U-verse's Residential Gateway, delivering quality gaming to the plasma television in your media room.

  1. Ethernet

      Locate the Ethernet jacks on the consoles in your system. Look for the rectangular ports labeled "LAN."

      Find the four Ethernet ports on the U-verse Residential Gateway. Plug an Ethernet cable into the Gateway. One is required for each console you plan to connect to the Internet or your local network.

      Connect the other end of each Ethernet cable to the "LAN" ports on each console. Turn on the consoles to allow them to connect to the Web.

    Audio and Video

      Find the ports on the rear of each console. Look for jacks labeled "HDMI" or "A/V."

      Plug an HDMI cable or the console's proprietary audio/video cable into the matching port.

      Find free input jacks on your plasma television corresponding to the A/V cables used on the consoles. Plug these cables into these jacks.
