Uploading videos of Xbox gameplay has become increasingly popular in the past few years. This can be useful for tutorials and walkthroughs, helping to show other players how to accomplish certain tasks or how to beat certain levels. It can also be a great way to document and share funny moments or interesting replays. Recording and then uploading your gameplay footage to the Web is a fairly simple process that requires a capture device for getting the footage into your computer and a little basic editing. Products known to work well for capturing video game play include Dazzle products by Pinnacle for PCs and Elgato products for Macs.

  Connect your capture device to the computer and install the necessary software.

  Connect the Xbox to the capture device and test it to see that it is receiving the video and audio signal. It is often helpful to connect the Xbox to both the capture device and a television as the capture device display is often delayed, making it difficult to play the game properly.

  Start recording and play your game. When you have recorded the portion of the gameplay you need, stop the capture software.

  Trim the beginning and end of the video using the capture software. Save it as an AVI or MOV file.

  Go to a video upload site such as Youtube, create an account, if necessary, and upload it. Select the file you created, edit the title, description and other details, then save the video.
