How to Get Infinite Item Modifier in Mario Kart Wii

Mario Kart is a racing game for Nintento Wii. Many players have sought a code or cheat to obtain infinite items in the game. While it is possible, it requires a "soft mod," which is a program downloaded to your Wii console to modify the coding of the game. To use these programs, you must have Homebrew Channel installed on your Wii.

Things You'll Need

SD or SDHC card
PC with SD or SDHC slot
Homebrew channel
Gecko OS

Instructions

  Download Gecko OS 1.07b (see link in Resources). Click on the download and select "Save." This will open a "Save As" menu. Save this file onto your SD or SDHC card in a folder named "APPS."

  Download the specific Wii cheat. Click on the "Wiird Code Database" in the Resources section. On the left hand side of the page is an alphabet in blue letters; click on "M." Select Mario Kart Wii. Highlight all of the text in the file, right-click on the highlighted text and select "Cut." Open a new text file, right-click, select "paste" and save the text file as "Mario Kart Wii.txt."

  Open Codemgr.exe off your SD or SDHC card under APPS. This will open Ocarina Code Manager; click on file at the upper left, select open and open the "Mario Kart Wii.txt" that was created in Step 2. You will be given a list of the different cheats you can select. Select Infinite Item Modifier, and click on the "Export to CGT" button at the bottom of the screen. This will ask you where to store the file; select your SD or SDHC card and click "Store".

  Insert your SD or SDHC card into your Nintendo Wii. Open your Homebrew Channel and start Ocarina. Insert your Mario Kart Wii game and you will have infinite items unlocked. Do not play online with this cheat activated. If Nintendo detects a cheat in use, you could be banned from online play.
