How to Combine Exercises on the Wii Fit

Wii Fit provides a fun way to work exercise into your day while improving balance, strength and flexibility. You can choose from four different workout goals: Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics and Balance Games. It also allows you to store favorites. As you advance in ability, more difficult moves or workouts are unlocked providing continued challenges and improving overall workout results. Everyday that you use Wii Fit, the calendar logs workouts and progress for you, helping you keep an exercise journal and track fitness progress.

      Turn the Wii on and load Wii Fit. Start the game, select the appropriate Mii character and do your weigh-in as needed.

      Navigate to the training section and select the type of training you desire from the four options, or choose Favorites and engage in the favorite workouts for this user. Decide from the workout choices which will provide the benefits desired for the particular combination workout. For example, if strength training was selected and you want to improve lower-body strength through a series of moves, you might choose to do squats, lunges and single-leg extensions.

      Select the exercises in that section that will provide the desired benefits and engage in each, following the instructions of the trainer or the on-screen instructions if the exercise utilizes the Mii character. When the series of moves is complete, if you want a second set you can repeat the exercises a second time to make two sets of the given reps.

      Return to the training section to change to a different set of exercises, if desired, or rotate routines. For example, you could work upper- and lower-body on different days or do strength training on odd days and aerobic training on the even days. The calender keeps track of the exercises completed to help you keep track of your workouts and progress. Refer to the calendar if you're having trouble recalling which exercises were done last.
