Things You'll Need
Instructions
Hold down the "A" button while the Wii turns on to open the Wii main menu.
Click the "Wii" button in the bottom right corner of the main menu.
Click the "Wii Settings" button.
Click the "Internet" button in the settings menu.
Click one of the connection slots to set up the internet connection for the Nintendo Wii.
Click "Wireless Connection" or "Wired Connection" depending on how the console connects to your router. You do not need any additional accessories to create a wireless connection. A wired connection requires that the router connects to the Wii console using the Wii LAN adapter.
Click "Search For Access" point if you are creating a wireless connection. Skip to Step 10 if you are using a wired connection.
Click your network in the list on the screen.
Enter the security information for your network into the prompt. You could have had connection issues with "Mario Kart Wii" if the security code for your network recently changed.
Click the "OK" button after the connection test finishes. If the connection test fails, the issue is with your router, modem or internet connection. It is not an issue with "Mario Kart Wii" itself being unable to connect to the WFC network.
Click the "Mario Kart Wii" icon in the Wii main menu.
Click the "Nintendo WFC" button in the main menu of the game. "Mario Kart Wii" should connect to the WFC network if it passes the connection test.
