Wii Sports Resort
Wii Sports Resort is a collection of mostly outside summer games brought to life on the Wii. Using their Wii avatar, or Mii, children can play classic games, such as swordplay, Frisbee, canoeing, cycling, golf and archery. By swinging the Wii Remote with the Wii MotionPlus adapter for accuracy, kids use their arms to swing golf clubs, shoot a basketball or roll a bowling ball. They can play alone or against up to three friends. All games take place on a scenic island environment with caves, beaches, jungles and mountains. Children can explore the island by flying a plane using the Wii Remote or racing around the island on a mountain bike. Wii Sports Resort is rated "E" for everyone.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a good choice if you are looking for a classic, kid-friendly game. This game is fun for young children new to gaming as well as older children that are experts at playing Nintendo's twenty year-old Super Mario Brothers franchise. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, children play as one of the cartoony Italian plumbers, Mario or Luigi. They have the opportunity to overcome many obstacles to rescue Princess Peach from the evil Bowser and his army of turtles. In multi-player mode, young children can be paired with older children to complete levels. When the less experienced player has a misstep, they will float in a bubble and continue to help in the game. Nintendo has also added a feature so that a child cannot get stuck, frustrated and quit without winning the game. Instead, if a player cannot complete a level in eight tries, they will be shown a video on how to win the level and automatically be moved ahead. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is rated "E" for everyone.
Boom Blox Bash Party
Kids young and old love to create towering creations just for the fun of knocking them down. Boom Blox Bash Party brings that pastime to a new level with this Nintendo Wii game created by the famous film director, Steven Spielberg. Using the simple concept of building with blocks, children move the Wii Remote to push, pull and stack blocks in unique environments such as outer space and the deep waters under the sea. Children can race against the clock to solve building puzzles, use explosive blocks or virus blocks to create chaos, or launch animals and toys into structures using the cannon and slingshot blocks. There are over 400 levels for children to complete, or they can design their own levels for friends to play. Kids can also download and share their Boom Blox creations in an online community. Boom Blox Bash Party is rated "E" for everyone.
