Sonic Wii Hints

Sonic and the Secret Rings is a game in the popular Sonic video game series that was made exclusively for only the Nintendo Wii by the Sonic Team and NowPro. The game is set in the period of the fictional Arabian Nights stories and involves Sonic's quest to defeat an evil genie. The game features three different modes including Adventure, Party and Special Book mode. In Adventure mode, gamers follow the plot and control Sonic by holding the Wii remote sideways and using titling motions to control Sonic's speed and movement.

Controls
- Getting used to the touchy gameplay can take a while, but some helpful tips will help you control Sonic in the game. Hold your Wii remote sideways so you can press the one and two buttons with your right thumb. Use the mini-turbo move by slightly jerking your Wii remote as soon as you see the number one in the countdown before starting a level. Perform the rocket start by jerking the Wii remote when some of the stars circling the one are gone and perform the warp dash by jerking the Wii remote once all of the stars are gone from the one. Warp dash---which must be done quickly---is the fastest move to use when starting.
World Rings
- In each world, there is a mission where you can collect a special ring. You don't need to collect all of the world rings to get to the final boss, but you must have them all in order to unlock the last chapter in the game, which features the extra boss.
  To get the world ring in the sand oasis, you must defeat the boss by battling the sand scorpion.
  Get the world ring in the dinosaur jungle by completing the special challenge of smashing five genie eggs.
  Get the world ring in the evil foundry by simply beating the clock and finding the exit within your time limit.
  In the levitated ruin, defeat all of the 20 enemies in the rampage challenge to get the world ring.
  In the pirate storm mission you must defeat the boss, Captain Bemoth, to receive the world ring.
  Get the world ring in the skeleton dome by defeating all 40 enemies in the rampage challenge, and get the last world ring in the night palace mission by defeating all of the 20 enemies in the rampage challenge.
Unlock Extra Feature
- You must collect fire souls in various worlds and missions to unlock special feature for the Party mode. The fire souls are emblems of fire hidden throughout the game. For unlocking party character, you must get 30 fire souls to unlock Shadow, 42 fire souls to unlock Cream, 87 fire souls to unlock Silver and 105 fire souls to unlock Blaze.
  For unlocking Party mode extra, get six fire souls to unlock the "Aim! Big Crossbow" game, 12 fire souls to unlock the "Sink 'Em! Pirate Ship" game, 18 fire souls to unlock the "Row! Canoe Race" game, 24 fire souls to unlock the "Reel! Battle Fishing" game, 36 fire souls to unlock the "Thrust! Bone Knight" game, 54 fires souls to unlock the "Watch Out! Trap" game, 69 fire souls to unlock the "World Bazaar" game, 96 fire souls to unlock the "Spin! Propeller Race" game, 114 fire souls to unlock Extreme Difficulty mode and 126 fire souls to unlock the "Final X Adventure" game.
