How to Walk Around in Pokemon for Wii

The two Pokémon games for the Nintendo Wii include Pokémon Battle Revolution and My Pokémon Ranch. In Pokémon Battle Revolution you cannot freely walk around as the game is primarily for battling Pokémon, like in Pokémon Stadium for the Nintendo GameCube. However, in the WiiWare downloadable game, My Pokémon Ranch allows for gamers to upload their collection of Pokémon from the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Nintendo DS games. Once the Pokémon are uploaded to the game, you can interact with the 3D renderings of the Pokémon characters using your Mii characters that you've created.

Instructions

  Upload and store up to 1,000 Pokémon to the game using the Wi-Fi connectivity between the DS and your Wii. Make sure you have both games turned on at the same time, and you'll be able to transfer your Pokémon to the Wii.

  Click on the "Free Mode" option using your Wii remote. This will take you the ranch where all your Pokémon and Mii characters will be located. The ranch functions as a petting zoo for your Mii characters to interact with the various Pokémon you have uploaded.

  Press the "A" and "B" buttons at the same time on your Wii remote when you're scrolling over the Pokémon that you want to move. You can now make the Pokémon walk to any area within the ranch that you wish.

  Use your classic Wii remote to move the Pokémon after you have selected it. You can use the same method to move around your Wii characters.

  Invite your family and friends to connect with you online and interact with the Pokémon that you've uploaded. Other players can join your ranch and also walk around, interacting with your Pokémon.
