Things You'll Need
Instructions
In order to connect your Nintendo Wii to your WiFi connection, you'll first need to verify that your wireless router is configured to allow your Nintendo Video Game Console on your network, if you have MAC address restrictions in place on your wireless router, or WPA/WEP security, you'll need to make note of those settings, and add the MAC address of your Nintendo Wii to your wifi router if you have MAC address restrictions in place.
Once you've collected your information about your router's security settings, turn on your Nintendo Wii and browse to the "Wii" Options button, after which you need to select the "Wii Settings" button. Then click the right arrow. Select "Internet", and then "Connection Settings".
Select "Connection 1" and then "Wireless Connection." From here you can choose to either search for an access point, or manually configure your connection if you already have your wifi information handy. Once you have inputted this information, you can save and then test the connection. If the test connection is successful, your Nintendo Wii will likely need to update, and then you are done! Have fun using your Nintendo Wii online to play your favorite games!
