How to Do a Super Ground Pound in Super Mario Galaxy

While you're performing a spin attack in Super Mario Galaxy on Wii, Mario does a cool new move called the Super Ground Pound. The move can be pretty useful when you're taking on close enemies, because it tracks them down to take them out.

Things You'll Need

Wii System
Wii controller
Super Mario Galaxy
Nanchuk controller (optional)

Instructions

  Shake your Wii remote slightly to activate the spin attack. Mario will jump and spin to attack the enemy.

  Push the A and Z buttons on your Wii remote at the same time to jump in the air while you are shaking the remote for the spin.

  Practice the shake of the remote with the A and Z to find the right combination until Mario performs a targeted super ground pound to take on enemies that are close to him.

  Use the Super Ground Pound with Mario or Luigi. The move works with both players using the same controls.

  Initiate the Super Ground Pound with the Nanchuk controller also. Press the Z and C buttons while spinning to create the same move.

  Attack using the Super Ground Pound to kill the enemy without spending a lot of time targeting him. Execute the move that works quickly when you don't have a lot of time.
