In" SimAnimals" for the Nintendo Wii you have moved to the woods and must work with the native wildlife to survive and help nature prosper. In order to help the animals and yourself, you'll need to work together and use all of their skills. Beavers can be especially useful, given their ability to build dams.

  Unlock Castle Hill by completing the game's tutorial. To unlock the larger game map, you first need to complete the game's tutorial mode. The tutorial mode features a series of simple tasks and missions that are not difficult to complete. The game will walk you through these missions and give you specific instructions. When Castle Hill is unlocked, you can have your beavers build dams.

  Gain the trust and friendship of any and all beavers in the vicinity. Beavers will only build dams for you if they like you, so you need to spend time with them before they will work. Interacting with beavers and playing with them will make them warm up to you, and the more beavers who like you, the more will be willing to work. Beavers really enjoy having water dumped on them, and that will increase their affection for you.

  Gather wood for beavers to use in construction when they ask for it. If a beaver has a stick icon above his head, that means he is ready to start building dams. Go into the woods and bring him back sticks, or wait for him to knock down trees on his own to collect lumber. Beavers will build dams wherever they can, and the more beavers are in the vicinity, the faster they'll assemble them. Beaver dams, in addition to providing shelter for beavers, will keep water away from your cabin, and prevent mist and pollution from spreading.
