How to Kill Wigglers on New Super Mario Bros for the Wii

Wigglers are an enemy that first appeared in "Super Mario World." These caterpillar-like enemies are most notable for surviving when you jump on top of them. None of the power ups, such as the fire flower, can defeat them. You'll only encounter wigglers on the first part of World 5-2 of "New Super Mario Bros. Wii." A secret "POW" block in this area will allow you to kill the wigglers.

Instructions

    • 1

      Run to the right until you reach a wall. Jump over any wigglers you see. Jumping on top of a wiggler angers it, causing it to turn red and chase you.

      Jump onto the platform directly above you.

      Walk to the right into the wall. A secret room located here does not become visible until you enter it.

    • 4

      Pick up the "POW" block in the secret room.

    • 5

      Throw the "POW" block. This action will kill all wigglers currently visible on the screen.
