How to Pass the Titans of Tundra in Battalion Wars

"Battalion Wars" is an action strategy game for the Nintendo GameCube. In the game's sixth campaign mission -- Titans of Tundra -- you are required to destroy an elite division of Heavy Tanks known as The Iron Eight. Rather than attacking The Iron Eight in full force, a more effective strategy is to hide your battalion against the mountainside and use small strike groups to isolate the Heavy Tanks or lure them into an ambush.

Instructions

  Approach the enemy in small strike squads. Take only one or two units with you at a time as you advance towards the enemy.

  Leave vulnerable units in a safe place so they don't get destroyed by enemy fire.

  Use Bazooka Vets. You get six Bazooka Vets for this mission. They are effective for taking out a wide range of enemies including the Grunts, Heavy Tanks, and Gunships that you encounter on this mission.

  Take out any ground troops that are accompanying the Heavy Tanks. Enemy Grunts and Bazooka Vets can usually be eliminated with three or four bazooka shots.

  Keep your eyes on the skies for enemy Gunships. Try to eliminate Gunships before approaching Heavy Tanks.

  Destroy the Heavy Tanks by strafing around them in a circle as you fire. You need to keep moving to avoid the Heavy Tank's missiles and gunfire.

  Take advantage of the terrain. On the left side of the map there is a tall mountain with a large, sheltered area that can hide a lot of troops. By positioning a Missile Vet on the mountain peak, you can use him to take out enemy Gunships in the area. By positioning a Bazooka Vet near the base of the mountain, you can lure Heavy Tanks in for an ambush.

  Destroy all eight Heavy Tanks to complete the mission.
