How to Play Wii Tennis

"Wii Tennis" is one of four games featured in the "Wii Sports" disc. "Wii Sports" is an entry-level Wii game. Each game comes with a tutorial to help players get used to the Wii motion controls. "Wii Tennis" is set up for one to four players and can be played with and against human or computer opponents. It does not require the Wii nunchuk.

Instructions

    • 1

Call up the main menu of "Wii Sports." Use the Wii controller to point to "Tennis" and press "A."

    • 2

Choose the number of players and connect one controller for each player.

    • 3

Select the Mii you wish to play as. Click "Guest" to choose from computer-created Miis or click "Wii remote" to load Miis from the selected Wii remote. Select to play right-handed or left-handed.

    • 4

Place your hand through the wrist strap on the Wii remote. Slide the strap lock toward your wrist until the remote feels like it can't slip out of your hand.

    • 5

Swing the Wii remote up to toss the ball in the air for a serve. Swing the remote back down to hit the ball. Hit the ball when it reaches its peak to perform a fast serve.

    • 6

Hold the Wii remote to the side the tennis ball is traveling. For example, if the ball is traveling to your left, hold the remote to the left and swing to the right. You can stand in place or move your body with the remote. The harder you swing, the faster the ball will travel.

    • 7

Roll your wrist backward when you swing to place backspin on the ball. Roll your wrist forward to place top spin on the ball.
