How to Gain Levels Fast in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Outside of Live

The multiplayer mode of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" has a leveling system tied to it. Many of the weapons, perks and attachments available are unlocked based on your current level. A higher level player has an advantage during matches because of the wider range of options available to him. Experience points are gained by killing enemies or completing objectives. In online matches, your skill level plays a large part in the rate you gain experience points. It is possible to quickly earn levels in the offline, multiplayer mode.

  Start a split screen multiplayer match. You need two players to play a multiplayer match offline.

  Change the map to "Rust." This is a very small map, which allows you to reach the target point quickly. There is no other major significance to map selection.

  Change the match type to "Demolition."

  Change the game setup for "Demolition" mode. The match length should be 10 minutes. Choose "Never" for round switch. Change the plant and defuse time to one second. The extra time should be set to "None." Change the number of lives to one. All other settings can be left on the default.

  Start the match.

  Place each player on separate teams. It does not matter which team either person is on. Both player profiles are going to gain an equal amount of experience points.

  Move both players to the first target point.

  Plant a bomb on the target point with the player on the "Task Force 141" team. The player earns 1,000 experience points each time he plants a bomb.

  Defuse the bomb immediately after it is planted with the player on the "OpFor" team. This player earns 1,000 experience points each time he disarms a bomb.

  Repeat Step 8 and Step 9 for as long as desired.
