How to Link Your Xbox LIVE Gamertag to Windows Live

When playing on your Xbox 360 you can set up your profile on Xbox LIVE. This allows you to communicate and play online players. You can link your Xbox LIVE account to your Windows Live Account. This allows you to receive updates and notifications about your account as well as recover your gamertag.

Instructions

      Turn on your Xbox 360 and wait for your dashboard to load.

      Press the "Xbox" button in the center of your controller. This will load your Xbox Guide

    • 3

      Press "Right" on your controller, go to "Settings" and choose "Account Management."

      Select "Windows Live ID" and "Change Windows Live ID."

    • 5

      Enter the Windows Live address you want to link to your account. Press "Start" on your console. This will set the email address to your Xbox LIVE account.
