Microsoft's Xbox 360 allows users to make their own account, called a gamertag. With this account, you display your gaming achievements and connect to friends. Gamertags are free to sign up for, but you will need an email address to create one. The email address serves as your login name and helps to protect your account from hackers and thieves.

Click the "Join for Free" button.

Give a password, secret question with answer, name and country. Click "I Accept."
