"Fable III" is a role-playing video game on the Xbox 360 that features a functional economy and community. Citizens of Albion go to work during the daytime, wander the streets in the evening and go to sleep at night as people do in real life. If you just entered town as the stores are closing, it can feel like a long wait before everybody goes back to work. You can make people go back to work by making it daytime again. The quickest way to do this is to go to sleep.

Return to any home you purchased during the course of the game.

Walk to your bed and press "A."

Select the amount of time you wish to sleep. Use your judgment on this: If it is evening, sleep for 12 hours. If it is dark out, sleep for only 6 hours.

Return to the marketplace. If you slept the appropriate amount of time, it will be morning and workers will be at their shops again.
