How to Get 1 Million in Gold in Fable 2

Changing the Clock

  Interact with the signs in front of a weapons store, lumber mill or pub to start working as a blacksmith, woodcutter or bartender. To perform the assigned task, press the "A" button when the moving white ball is in the colored zone of the semicircle. When you complete the task, you will gain some gold and increase your job multiplier.

  Increase the job multiplier by successfully completing tasks. A high job multiplier will increase the amount of gold per task, but it also will increase the speed of the moving ball. You will lose your multiplier if you press the "A" button while the ball is outside of the colored zone. Work until you reach 65,000 gold.

  Purchase the Bowerstone bar by interacting with the sign in front of the bar by pressing the "A" button, then selecting the "Buy" option. You will receive approximately 800 gold every 5 minutes.

  Save your game, then switch to the Xbox 360 dashboard. Navigate to the "System Settings" tab under "My Xbox," select the "Console Settings" option, select the "Clock" option, and select the "Date &Time" option. Highlight the day value of the clock, and advance the date by one day. Press the "A" button to save the clock.

  Load your saved game, and you will receive approximately 80,000 gold. Purchase additional properties until your gold is exhausted, then save your game.

  Continue to purchase properties and advance the Xbox 360 clock.

Gameplay tips

  Work as a blacksmith, woodcutter or bartender. Work until you get 65,000 gold.

  Purchase real estate until a weapons store has a sale. Check for sales by interacting with the store's sign, or by selecting the store in the map view from the "Start" menu.

  Work, purchase properties and wait for a weapons store shortage. Check for shortages by interacting with the store's sign, or by selecting the store in the map view. Sell unused weapons to the store with the shortage.

  Work, purchase properties, and exploit weapon sales and shortages.

"Wealth" Reward

  Play through the main "Fable 2" quest until you are transported back to the Spire, after finding the heroes of Strength, Will and Skill.

  Enter the Spire and approach Lucien. Press the "A" button to play the music box and Lucien will be weakened. Attack Lucien with your ranged weapon or magic to defeat him, or wait for Reaver to kill him.

  Select the "Wealth" option to make a wish and get the gold.
