How to Use Your Computer as a TV to Play an Xbox

The Xbox 360 video game console requires no additional hardware to properly play games. However, without a TV and speakers you will not be able to see or hear the game you are playing. If you do not have a TV or wish to use the Xbox 360 when someone else is watching TV, use your computer as a TV. Xbox 360 games will play best on an LCD monitor and may lack definition on an older monitor.

VGA AV Cable
RCA to mini-jack plug

Instructions

  Connect the gray end of the VGA cable to the AV port of your Xbox 360.

  Insert the white wire into a RCA to mini-jack plug. Insert the red wire into the other opening of the mini-jack plug.

  Push the male end of the mini-jack plug into the "Aux In" port of the computer.

  Grasp the input wire of a set of speakers and plug it into the audio jack of the Xbox 360.
- 5
  Slide the Xbox 360's AC adapter into a power outlet.
