How to Set Up the FTP on XBMC

XBMC is a full-featured media player for the original Xbox. It allows you to play movies, television shows, music files, and more from your Xbox. To play these files, you need to transfer them over from your computer. The fastest way to do this is with a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) program. Setting up FTP on XBMC is very easy, because it is built into the system.

Instructions

      Turn on your Xbox and allow XBMC to load. This should take only a couple of seconds.

      Navigate to "Settings" using the Xbox gamepad and press the "A" button to enter the "Configuration" page.

      Navigate to "Network" and press "A" to enter the "Configuration" page.

      Press down once on your gamepad to switch the page to "Servers." Press right to enter the page.

    • 5

      Press "A" to activate the option labeled "Enable FTP Server." The FTP server is now activated and ready for use.
