Instructions
Walk under the bridge leading to the barracks on the west side of Holdenfort. Legion soldiers patrol this area. There is no significant pattern to the patrols. Wait until the soldiers have passed before running under the bridge.
Climb onto the wooden supports for the bridge.
Cross the river by jumping between the bridge supports.
Walk up the hill until you reach a fence near a house. A skull collectible is hovering near the fence, indicating you are in the correct location.
Run across the street to the barracks after all the patrols nearby have left.
Press the "B" button near the glowing door to plant explosives. You need to jump onto the crate next to the barracks to reach it. This destroys the barracks, completing the first half of the quest.
Return to the Holdenfort Battlefield Leystone where you received the quest to liberate the town by going back down the hill. This starts the large-scale battle that concludes the quest.
Kill the champion and two shamans in the northeast section of the map. Using Frost magic on the champion slows him down so much that he becomes very easy to defeat. If you do not have access to Frost magic, use normal counterattacks to defeat him. As usual, the shamans are almost defenseless and easy to kill.
Kill the two champions and two shamans on the docks to the east. One of the champions and shamans is directly on the docks. The other shaman and champion are on the bridge.
Kill four more shamans to the north, across the bridge. You encounter all four as you move up the path to the summoning stones.
Defend the area around the summoning stones until your shaman finishes cleansing the stones. This causes you to win the battle, completing the quest.
