My Xbox Play & Charge Cables Are Not Working

You can eliminate the need to buy bushels of batteries by using the Play &Charge Kit for the Microsoft Xbox 360. Connect one end of the cable to one of the USB ports on the front of the console and the other end to your controller to play while the kit charges your rechargeable battery pack. It takes about six hours to get a full charge. If you have problems with the cable, try some troubleshooting steps to fix the problem.

  Check the battery pack if the light on the cable that connects to your controller does not glow. The battery pack may not be properly locked into place.

  Examine the cable (particularly the side with the USB connection) to make sure it is snugly connected between the controller and console.

  Try a different USB port on the Xbox 360 if the cable does not work. The console has two USB ports on the front and one on the back.

  Wipe the contacts of the battery pack with a dry cloth if the cable light does not turn on.
