How to Play on Hard Rock Band

Regardless of if you want to play "Rock Band," "Rock Band 2," "Rock Band 3" or the game's other offspring, there are four levels to play on. For those with rhythm and musical talent, the "easy" and "medium" levels can be too simple. The best idea is to move up to the "hard" level of the game. There are two main differences between the "hard" and "medium" levels of Rock Band: the speed the notes appear and the use of the fifth note. Playing on "hard" is the gateway to the "expert," which is the highest level.

Instructions

Start the game and choose your player. Under "options" set the game to "no fail" if it is your first time on "hard." This option will allow you to play the entire song without having to restart, if you are having a difficult time adjusting to the new level.

    • 2

Sort the songs by difficulty and play the easy songs first. These songs have less difficult chords and the notes do not move as quickly as the harder songs. These songs are designed to help people ease into the harder levels of songs.

Select the song title and choose "hard" as your difficulty level. Place your fingers on the red, yellow, blue and orange keys. Use your ring finger to move to the green key because it is more flexible than your pinky.
