How to Reset My XBox Clock

The Xbox 360 displays a clock for your convenience and as a timestamp for when you saved games or information on your system. If you have an Xbox Live profile, you do not have to worry about resetting your clock, because the clock automatically updates when you sign into Xbox Live. If you do not have Xbox Live, you can access the clock settings within your Xbox 360 main menu and set the correct time.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your Xbox 360. Press the "Eject" button if you have a disc in the disc tray. Remove the disc and close the tray.

    • 2

Find the "My Xbox" menu and move over to the "System" box. Press "A" on your Xbox 360 controller and choose "Console Settings."

    • 3

Click "Clock." Scroll down to "Time Format" and choose to either set the time as a 12-hour or 24-hour clock.

    • 4

Click "Time Zone" and choose the time zone you are in, such as Eastern Standard Time or Pacific Standard Time.

    • 5

Select "Date and Time" and set the time according to a clock on your computer or in your house.

    • 6

Click "Daylight Saving" and turn the option to "on." You will no longer have to reset your clock when daylight savings time occurs.
