How to Add Gamerscores After Resets

Games played on Xbox 360 provide various achievements for challenges and events you have completed in a game. These achievements each have a score value that contributes to your overall Xbox Live gamerscore. If you have reformatted your Xbox 360 hard drive to reset everything, you will need to recover your Xbox Live profile to add your gamerscore back to the console.

Instructions

      Press the "Guide" button on your controller.

      Select the "Recover Gamertag" option and then click the "A" button. This loads a confirmation dialog.

      Press the "A" button to confirm. This will prompt you for your security information.

      Enter your Xbox Live Gamertag and select "Continue."

      Enter your Windows Live ID and password and select "Continue."

    • 6

      Select "Sign In" and press the "A" button. This loads a "Terms of Service" screen. Select "Accept" and press the "A" button. Your profile and gamerscore automatically downloads onto your Xbox 360.
